Overview

An introductory session on thermal comfort, indoor air quality standards, and ventilation requirements for conditioned spaces. This course covers the fundamentals of human thermal comfort, the factors that influence it, and the engineering standards that govern indoor environmental quality in commercial and institutional buildings.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of ASHRAE Standards 55 and 62.1, Ontario building code ventilation requirements, and how to evaluate and maintain acceptable comfort conditions and air quality in conditioned spaces.
